Filling cavities under concrete floors
Concrete floors with foundations can come loose from the ground. This happens when the ground subsides but the foundations do not. In that case the floor is only supported by the foundations. The resulting hollow space can lead to vibrations in the floor sections between the foundations, due to traffic. The cavity under the floor can also offer a home to pests. In the long term, vibration can lead to damage, which you want to avoid. Here too, we can use our system to connect the floor and the ground to eliminate vibration. All the hollow spaces are filled so pests cannot settle under your floor.
Filling cavities under concrete floors – the ConcreteFloorSystems system:
PREPARATION
PREPARATION
We start by drilling holes through the subsided concrete floor. The hole pattern depends on the underlying soil, the type of concrete floor, the client's requirements, and the required amount of relevelling.
EXECUTION
EXECUTION
We install tightly fitting injection plugs into the drilled holes. Next we use a special injection lance to inject the lightweight concrete lifting mix under the subsided concrete floor. The whole process is carefully monitored using laser surveying equipment.
HAND-OVER
HAND-OVER
Once the client has approved the work the injection plugs are removed and the injection holes are carefully filled. The concrete floor is ready for use after 24 hours.
